No account, privacy-first

Reading on Scroll needs no sign-up and no login — that's the point. We collect as little as possible, and we never sell your data or track you across other websites.

Kept in your browser

Your reading progress, reader preferences (theme, text size, font), and an anonymous device identifier are stored locally in your own browser using localStorage. They stay on your device, are not tied to your identity, and you can clear them any time by clearing your browser data.

What we do collect

• Email — only if you ask for chapter reminders or new-story alerts, or leave feedback with a reply address. Used solely for that purpose.
• Anonymous ratings & reactions — tied to your anonymous device id, never to a name.
• Basic, privacy-focused analytics — aggregate page views to help us improve, with no cross-site tracking.

Children

Scroll carries stories for a range of ages and is designed to be kid-safe. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; the experience works fully without providing any.

Your data rights

Because most of what makes Scroll work stays in your own browser, you are already in control. Beyond that, you may ask us to access, correct, or delete any email or feedback we hold for you, and to stop using it — just contact us. Marketing emails always carry a one-click unsubscribe. We keep an email only for as long as you want the reminders or until we have answered your message.

Our content is protected too

Privacy runs both ways. Just as we don't scrape you, no one may scrape us. Automated crawling, bulk-downloading, or harvesting of our chapters and catalogue — and any use of our stories to train or ground AI systems — is prohibited, and we enforce technical measures against it.
